CROWTHORNE CHURCH OF ENGLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dear Parent(s)                                                                  14th February 2008

Each year we have a sponsored event to raise money for the school charity. As you are aware through the School Council, the children decided to support the RSPCA. This year we have decided to attempt to complete a whole school sponsored Kick Start Day. This will be very fitting linked to our Active Mark and Healthy Schools awards. Kick Start is a dance/exercise routine done to music which is completed daily by each child. The routines are completed to popular music. The aim is that classes will take it in turns to complete routines so that Kick Start is continuously done through out the day on Friday 7th March taking a break at lunchtime. You are invited to join us for the last 20 minutes of the day.

We are asking you to sponsor your child(ren) in this venture. We are suggesting that they are sponsored either a total amount or per routine completed. We are anticipating that the school will complete approximately 60 routines during the day. If sponsors pay tax please encourage them to gift aid their contribution which will allow the RSPCA to receive 28% more with no additional cost to the sponsor. We would like to encourage the children to ask their family and friends to sponsor them and explain what Kick Start and the RSPCA are all about.

On the day the children should wear jogging bottoms, their school PE t-shirt and trainers or plimsolls.

Please return sponsor forms during the week beginning the 3rd March. The children's sponsor forms will be signed by the class teacher and the money then needs to be collected and the form and money returned to school by Friday 14th March.

Thank you for supporting the children in this event. It will benefit their health and the RSPCA and the health and welfare of animals. We look forward to raising a record amount for a very worthy charity.

Yours sincerely

Miss G. A. Roberts

(School Council Link Teacher)
