Minutes from Meeting Tuesday 15^th January 08

Report on Last term's events

• Winter Ball

Evening went very well, a big thank you to all those that helped make the event a great success. We made a total of £1968.00

• Christmas Puddings

A big thank you to all those selling puddings. It was a disappointing sale this year as we still have 39 puddings unsold (will be kept for sale 08).  AM to investigate Christmas cards as an alternative.

• Christmas Raffle

This made a £550 profit, it was well organised, so thank you to those involved.

• Photo's of School Play

This made a profit of £183, Thanks to Kim Tomlin and Ian Beattie

• Bring & Buy Sale

This made a £330 profit, Thanks to CL and the team.

Profit to date from 1st September is £3785

Events 08

Burns Night 26^th January 2008

80 tickets have been sold. It was agreed to put together a Hamper to Raffle. Please give your Hamper items to HS.

Mrs Gellatly agreed to check the limit for Fire Safety Regulations

AM to speak to CS to arrange money to pay Bag Pipe Man on the night.

Carole Turner organising helpers for Sunday morning to help clean up.

AM to put a Board up outside school to remind people to pay.

SD to buy chocolates for Waitress from Finchampstead School.

School Disco 8^th Feb

To be advertised this week. Helpers needed on the Night.

Elvis Night 8^th March

To include a Fish & Chips supper. TL and CP have all in hand. Tickets will be sold for £15

Easter Bingo Saturday 15^th March

SK / HS / WA agreed to organise. Ian Beattie agreed to be the Caller again this year. SK to investigate the purchase of a bingo machine. Need to advertise soon.

Summer Fayre 28^th June

Millers Ark, the petting animals has been booked. Will try to arrange that children from every year group and clubs are involved on the day. Sub committee to meet at Nicky Reed's house on Friday 25^th Jan at 9.00am

Quiz Night

New date set for 22^nd November

Winter Dance

New date set Oct 08

Millennium garden

Still need to agree a new surface and possible Builder / Gardner to do the work. It is 85 sq feet space. WA to investigate a possible alternative.

Climbing Frame

SK/WA/NR/DC to set a sub committee to move this forward.

Painting of the Playground

NR to speak to GR and James to establish progress should be completed in the summer.

Library - RB organising a rota of helpers to continue to sort books. Need to allocate funds for a proper Audit to be carried out.

Mrs Gellatly advised that the Caretakers House will need to cleared shorty. Date TBC.

Carnival Theme this year is Fun & Fantasy. DC happy to organise Float and has some great ideas already!
