Minutes from Meeting Tuesday 7^th May 08

Report on Last term's events

Elvis Night

Great night enjoyed by all. The event rose over £500. Tracy and Katherine have agreed to run the event again next year and have booked ‘Elvis' for next year. Possible dates 7/14^th March 09.

Easter Bingo

Another good event. Big thank you to Ian Beattie our Bingo Caller. The event raised almost £300. PTA have run Bingo for a number of years and it was felt by the committee that we could have a change next year. To be discussed at the next meeting.

Planned Events 08

Summer Fayre 28^th June

All plans are going well. Different year groups and clubs from school are being encouraged to take part in the event, Choir, Judo, Football, Gymnastics will all be taking part.

Actions:

• CK / RB are organising a Maypole dance
• NR organised an evening to allocate jobs
• AL to organise a Van to transport trestle tables (Ask CR)

Quiz Night

22^nd November. This will be the last Quiz run by T&J. NR to liaise with Tom & Julie Roberts

Winter Dance

Date set 18^th October 08

The evening will begin at 7.30pm and end at 1.30pm. DC to form a committee to continue organisation. NR & SK volunteered to help Danzi

Millennium garden

NR has plans drwn up. Could cost around £8000. Needs further planning. NR to find new person to take over the planning.

Climbing Frame

Should be installed in 2 weeks time!

Painting of the Playground

Miss Roberts has in hand. Children have done the drawings. Work to begin ASAP

Summer Cake Sales

HS / AL to send out flyer to advertise this week.

Non Uniform Day

This will be Friday 13^th June for luxury items for the summer fayre.

Crowthorne Carnival 5^th July

SD organised a team of mums to make the flags and liaise with Mrs Jones.  SD to help Danzi decorate the Float on the morning.

DC has got costumes in hand.

Hope to run a bubble machine. NR / DC to organise.

A.O.B

Been approached by Big Picture to take pictures of children for a book, ‘Children of Crowthorne'. HS to investigate further.

SK suggested Art Exhibition of Children's artwork. SK to investigate how much this will cost parents and what is involved.

HS to give IW a list of forthcoming events for the website.

NR to step down as Chair as she is moving to New Zealand! NR to speak to possible candidates!
