Friends of Crowthorne C of E

The Friends of Crowthorne C of E Primary School

The Friends of Crowthorne CofE is a charity run by a dedicated committee of parents, carers, teaching, and non-teaching staff. As a parent, guardian, or family member of a child at our school, you are automatically a member of The Friends. This means you have the opportunity to attend meetings, vote on proposals, and share ideas for fundraising and spending.

We always welcome new members and fresh ideas! Your input is valuable, so we encourage you to join our meetings whenever possible.

What do The Friends do?

We raise money to spend on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in the school in general.  We bring staff, parents, pupils and friends together in support of our school.

How can you get involved?

There are many ways you can help and support your child and the wider school community through The Friends.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Offers of help before, after or at events are so valuable.  It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, The Friends welcome any support it receives.
  • You can attend the AGM or meetings to give us ideas for fundraising events.
  • You can volunteer to be a Class Rep (CR) or a Committee member if you wish, come along to meetings to find out more.
  • If you have any contacts or skills we could use then this could be beneficial, please come along to a meeting or contact a member of The Friends to discuss ways this could be of use.
  • If you have suggestions on what money could be spent on we’d be interested to hear your ideas.
  • Finally, we are extremely grateful for any donations. These can be made as follows:
    • Cash - Dropped into the school office marked for our attention including your name
    • Cheque - Made payable to Friends of Crowthorne C of E Primary School and dropped into the school office
    • Online Donation - Using our JustGiving fundraising page here: https://www.justgiving.com/friendsofcrowthornecofeschool

If you don’t have the time to help at events then your enthusiasm for what The Friends are doing is really beneficial so please try to support the events.

If you are interested in getting involved at any level within The Friends, please reach out to us at friendsofcrowthorne@gmail.com. Your support makes a huge difference in enriching our school community!

We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting (see below for meeting details in the 2025/2026 academic year).

Thank you,

Paul Davis, Chairperson
The Friends of Crowthorne C of E Primary School

Trustees, Committee Roles and Class Reps

Charity trustees are the individuals ultimately responsible for governing and managing a charity. They ensure the charity fulfills its purposes, complies with the law, and operates responsibly, acting as the "guardians of purpose". Their role involves setting strategy, making key decisions, and overseeing the charity's activities and resources.

The trustees are:

Paul DavisChairMarch 2025 - November 2025
Roula ChaayaSecretaryMarch 2025 - November 2025
Debbie WebbTreasurerNovember 2024 - November 2026

Trustees typically serve two year terms.

Where a two year term isn't stated above, the trustee has taken over the role mid-term with the intention of a binding vote being cast for at the next AGM as part of an open election process.
