Home Learning
Home Learning is set by individual class teachers.
The main focus is on Spellings, Reading and Times Tables as these skills are vital for the development of strong foundations across all curriculum areas.
We always encourage children to extend their learning at home. There are many ways in which this can be done, including continuing research about a topic being covered in school. Learning at home can include practical activities (such as relating maths to the real world), creative tasks (e.g. using items from nature to create a collage) or reading for a purpose (e.g. to follow a recipe).
